Terms of Service
The legal agreement governing your use of our website and civil engineering services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website at www.civilathand.com or engaging our civil engineering services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, clients, and anyone who accesses or uses our services. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
Important: Our civil engineering drawings and reports are professional advisory documents. Final construction responsibility lies with the property owner, their licensed contractor, and the local building authority.
2. Description of Services
Civil At Hand provides the following professional civil engineering services:
- House Planning (2D/3D): Floor plan design, layout preparation, 3D visualisation
- Structural Design: RCC design, beam/column/slab calculations per IS codes
- BOQ & Cost Estimation: Bill of quantities, material take-off, project cost estimates
- PDF to AutoCAD Conversion: Conversion of scanned/PDF drawings to editable CAD files
- Technical Consultancy: Expert advice on construction methods, materials, and compliance
- Student Guidance: Academic project support, thesis assistance, internship guidance
All services are delivered digitally. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service with reasonable notice.
3. Ordering & Payment
All service engagements begin with a written or WhatsApp-confirmed project brief and quotation. By accepting a quote, you enter a binding service agreement with Civil At Hand.
3.1 Payment Terms
- Standard payment: 50% advance before work begins, 50% before final delivery
- Accepted payment methods: UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), NEFT/IMPS bank transfer
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
3.2 Pricing
Our starting price for basic house plans is ₹2,500. Final pricing depends on plot size, complexity, scope, and turnaround time requirements. All pricing is confirmed in writing before work begins.
4. Delivery
All deliverables are provided digitally (PDF, DWG, DXF, or other agreed formats) via email or WhatsApp. Standard turnaround times:

Delivery times are estimates and may vary with complexity. We will communicate any delays promptly.
5. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of final payment, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the delivered drawings and documents for your specific project at the stated address. This licence includes the right to share drawings with contractors and local authorities for construction purposes.
You may not: resell, sublicence, redistribute, or use our designs for projects other than the one contracted without prior written consent.
Civil At Hand retains the right to include project work in our portfolio with personally identifiable information removed.
6. Client Obligations
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information required for your project (site measurements, location details, requirements)
- Review and provide feedback on draft deliverables within 7 business days
- Make payments according to the agreed schedule
- Ensure delivered drawings are reviewed by a locally licensed engineer before construction where required by local law
- Obtain all required local building permits and approvals independently
7. Revisions
Our standard service includes 2 rounds of revisions per deliverable, provided within 30 days of delivery. Revisions must be for corrections or reasonable modifications to the original brief, not changes to the project scope.
Additional revisions or scope changes may be quoted separately. Major redesigns due to client-side brief changes after work has commenced may incur additional charges.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Civil At Hand's total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for:
- Construction defects caused by contractor errors, material substitutions, or deviations from our drawings
- Failure to obtain building permits or comply with local bye-laws
- Any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss arising from force majeure events
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Civil At Hand, its engineers, and associates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of our services, breach of these Terms, or violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate a project engagement with 7 days' written notice. In the event of termination:
- Work completed to date will be invoiced at the agreed rate on a pro-rata basis
- Advance payments for undelivered work will be refunded according to our Refund Policy
- Any completed deliverables shared may be retained by the client subject to IP terms above
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Punjab, India. We encourage amicable resolution of disputes in the first instance.
